Auburn engineering changed my life! That statement could be made by thousands of Auburn graduates. Each story would have lots of similarities plus some uniqueness, but all would clearly communicate that Auburn engineering provided a road to travel which otherwise would not have been available. For me it was the ticket to participate with Werner von Braun and his German and American Team of engineers and scientists planning the unheard of thing of going to the moon and returning safely before the decade ended in the 1960s. I received another ticket in the 1970s to participate in developing the replacement for the Saturn Launch Vehicle with the Space Shuttle. Truly an E-ticket (only the older generation will remember that phase of Disney fun). Now another ticket is potentially available to help develop the Ares I Launch Vehicle to replace the Space Shuttle. All of this made possible because of Auburn engineering! Any one of those experiences would fill a lifetime with memories made of dreams; two is more than anyone could reasonably hope for; with three, clear feelings develop for the true meaning of "blessed beyond measure." War Eagle!!
