Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE)

IEEEThe Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) is comprised of more than 360,000 individuals from every corner of the world. The IEEE consists of several societies that specialize in areas of electrical and electronics engineering as well as computing. The IEEE also has Chapters across the world's cities and campuses, including the one at Auburn University.

The AU chapter, works closely with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) and the Eta Kappa Nu (HKN) honor society to organize meetings, lectures and extracurricular activities for ECE students. IEEE student officers network with industry leaders and invite guest speakers to the campus for talks. The branch also participates in annual events such as E-Day and the homecoming, which are geared towards Auburn's prospective students and alumni.
