Our students gain experience via design projects as well as a variety of extracurricular student competitions. To offer our students greater opportunities for collaborative, hands-on research, design and production projects, the college is working to establish an unrestricted endowment to support and expand student competitions, and other extracurricular student initiatives not supported by state funding. These real-life competitions and activities prepare Auburn Engineering graduates to be immediate contributors to the industries that hire them.
"As part of Auburn's Mini Baja team, I've learned that you may have the best design in the world on paper, but if you can't build it, you're right back where you started," explains Krueger. "The resources provided by the College of Engineering are second to none, yet they are provided in a fashion where you must use your own creativity and ingenuity."
