Annual Giving

Outright contributions of non-endowment operating funds provide support for student programs, equipment purchases, college initiatives, and other timely needs. These gifts can be likened to a living endowment.

It would take a $70 million endowment to generate $3.5 million - the yearly goal for annual gifts to the college. As the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering works to increase its permanent endowment, annual gifts from alumni and friends are essential to meeting the growing need for private support.

Unrestricted annual gifts are particularly important because they provide the flexibility to capitalize on opportunities and address temporary funding challenges.

Goal: $3.5 million per year

"The College of Engineering is a true jewel in the crown of higher education in Alabama. Our graduates are sought after because of their comprehensive education, not only in the technical aspects of engineering, but also in applying these skills in business and in giving back to our communities."
