The D. W. Weatherby Academic Excellence Annual Scholarship is established in the Auburn University Foundation by the Samuel Ginn College of Engineering Minority Engineering Program.

Scholarship Requirements:

A minimum of one scholarship shall be awarded each year to an incoming freshman accepted and enrolled in the Auburn University Samuel Ginn College of Engineering Minority Engineering Program.  To be eligible, an incoming freshman must have scored a minimum 25 on the ACT or equivalent SAT and have a minimum GPA 3.5 or greater on a 4.0 scale or its equivalent.

  • The amount of the scholarship shall be disbursed at regular intervals during the school year in accordance with normal university policies.
  • The scholarship fund must reach a minimum amount before awards are made.

Donor Information:

Donors will submit an annual contribution designed for this fund, to the Auburn University Foundation by February 1 of each year.

  • Each scholarship is for one year.
  • An annual report will be provided to the donors, including the name(s) of the
    recipient(s) and other pertinent information.
