The primary goal of Engineering Development is to raise the private support required to move the College toward its vision of becoming one of the nation's top twenty Engineering programs.

    Secure private funding through a major gifts program from alumni and friends, corporations and foundations to increase the College of Engineering endowment to provide a permanent and stable source of income to support:

    1. Scholarships/Fellowships to attract and retain talented undergraduate and graduate students;
    2. Faculty Chairs/Professorships/Faculty Enhancements to attract and retain eminent scholars and gifted teachers/researchers;
    3. Funds for Excellence to provide the College and associated departments unrestricted funds to respond to emerging opportunities and priority needs.
    4. Programmatic Funding to enable the College to provide development, retention and enhancement programs for students and faculty as well as to create, develop and operate college-related centers and consortiums.
