2012
The Precinct Plan is a thirteen-year initiative involving 404,500 ASF of new construction, renovation of 124,000 ASF, and demolition of 172,500 GSF at a total cost of $120 million in 1998 dollars. The first phase of the project involves demolition of Noble Hall and construction of a new Transportation Technology building. The first target is to have sufficient funds (approximately $57.5 million) identified to begin phase 1 by October, 2004.
Dean of Engineering
The Dean of Engineering will monitor the fund-raising effort to insure adequate progress is being made to achieve the $57.5 million goal. At this time $30 million has been obtained from the federal government and a commitment obtained from the university for a general fee revenue bond to finance the remaining $27.5 million.
Assessment findings will be used to determine if adjustments need to be made in the funding strategy.
