  • Virginia Davis
    • Spent eleven years with Shell Chemical, an international leader in polymer research before earning her doctorate at Rice University under researchers Matteo Pasquali and Richard E. Smalley; recipient of the Nobel in chemistry for his work with C60; works on the fluid-phase assembly of cylindrical nanomaterials across multiple length scales
  • David Bevly
    • Directs Auburn University's GPS and Vehicle Dynamics Laboratory (GAVLAB), focusing on the control of autonomous vehicles using GPS and inertial navigation system (INS) sensors; received an Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Program (YIP) award for his work with autonomous navigation and control used in canine detection programs and another in 2006 for his work with unmanned ground vehicles, an essential component of military automation goals
  • Bruce Tatarchuk
    • Pioneer in research of microfibrous materials that can filter out biological and chemical contaminants; director of Auburn's Center for Microfibrous Materials Manufacturing - producing low cost, high performance, 3-D microfibrous materials and structures
