Primary use: Providing chilled water to cool more than 70 campus buildings.

This building, originally used as the AC (alternating current) lab, was constructed at about the same time and in the same manner as the L-Building. It was converted to a chilled water plant in 1985.

District Chilled Water operates and maintains the district chilled water plants and underground distribution systems that provide chilled water for air conditioning to more than 70 buildings on campus. The primary function of chilled water is to help ensure a comfortable and productive working environment for students, faculty and staff.
