Each year the college recognizes and celebrates excellence in Auburn Engineering students, faculty and alumni at our spring awards ceremony.
Fred H. Pumphrey Outstanding Pre-Engineering Student Award: Given to students who students complete their freshman year with GPA's of 4.0
Pi Gamma Tau Freshman Honorary: Students who represent the top 5 percent of the freshman class in academic standing
2007-2008 Frank Vandegrift Co-op Award: Outstanding engineering co-op student selected by the Office of Cooperative Education
Birdsong Study Abroad Scholarship: Competitive scholarship providing engineering students with the opportunity for enrichment through the study of the humanities and other cultures
Auburn chapter of the American Society of Professional Engineers (ASPE) Outstanding Student Engineer Award: Recognizes excellence in the classroom. Top engineering students nominated by department heads and chairs are reviewed by a committee of engineering faculty led by the associate dean for academics.
Outstanding Student Award by academic program: Recognizes excellence in the classroom. Top students selected by department heads and chairs.
Outstanding Faculty Award by department: Recognizes excellence in teaching, research and outreach. Top faculty selected
by the College of Engineering Student Council.

William F. Walker Teaching Awards: Recognize excellence in teaching. Nominations from the departments are reviewed by a committee comprised of a representative from each of these groups: Auburn Alumni Engineering Council, Auburn University Office of the Provost, Engineering Student Council, as well as the previous year's superior award winner.
Outstanding Alumni Award: Recognizes career achievement in the field of engineering, business leadership and community service, with an emphasis on engineering innovation in the field. Selected by departmental committee.
