The Rational Method is used for the class examples. The basics of storm water pipe design are discussed. Rules of thumb needed to properly design storm water pipe are presented. The Manning equation is presented for determining the Q vs. diameter relationship for the full flow condition, and partial flow diagrams are utilized for conditions of flow other than full.
