This course is the first course in the Electric Power Systems series and covers the fundamentals of ac single- and three-phase circuit concepts. Fundamentals and overview; ac circuits: voltage, current, impedance, power; three phase ac circuits: wye, delta connections.

This course can be taken by itself. An understanding of the fundamentals is essential for the remaining courses, however.
