In this module Dr. Sauser reviews personal, organizational and environmental factors that influence ethical decision making; explores four corporate cultures with respect to ethics in business; and discusses steps one can take to establish a strong ethical culture. The concepts of social responsibility and corporate performance are then introduced, the importance of following the law is emphasized, and best practices for business ethics are discussed. Employee theft and ethical practices in human resources management are provided as further examples. This module features interviews with leaders in the chemical and government consulting industries.
