The Southern Regional Radon Training Center (SRRTC), is based in the Engineering Continuing Education (ENGCE) was established as one of four regional radon training centers in the United States.  SRRTC is managed through Auburn University and the ENGCE to provide assistance and training to the states of: Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.

The mission of the RRTC's is to develop educational materials, provide training to government officials, professional and private firms, and the public on radon health risks, and methods of radon measurement and mitigation. To accomplish this mission, the RRTCs charge for services n order to achieve financial self-sufficiency.  SRRTC provides training for builders, realtors, architects, home inspectors, HVAC contractors, public health officials and others wishing to become certified as a radon measurement or mitigation specialists.
