Terms of Sale Agreement

Individuals

  1. Auburn University shall distribute the course(s) listed on our web site in the form of a DVD, Video Tape, CD-ROM or World Wide Web page password and necessary supporting materials to the individual purchaser of record under a single user contract agreement.
  2. The Individual shall have the right to retain the Course Booklet and DVD, Tape, CD-ROM or password for use solely by the Individual for educational purposes. Programs may not be edited or altered.
  3. The Individual shall not duplicate, sell, rent or charge a fee for viewing this DVD, Video Tape, CD-ROM or Web page without prior permission from Auburn University's Business and Engineering Continuing Education. The Individual shall not derogate from any rights granted herein.
  4. Programs may not be broadcast, copied, transmitted by cable or internet, or transmitted on any open or closed system other than a system located within the facilities of the individual.
  5. For a period of up to 2 years from date of purchase, Auburn University shall grant one continuing education unit (CEU) certificate if the course has been taken under the prescribed conditions (see 6 below). Auburn University will not charge a fee for processing this CEU certificate. CEU's are awarded at the rate of one tenth of a CEU for one hour of instruction. (e.g. viewing a three hour course with examination earns 0.3 CEU).
  6. To receive CEU credit, the Individual shall complete all specified instructional requirements, e.g. viewing, interacting, assignments, tests, etc. CEU certificates will be issued only for accounts that are paid in full.

Organizations

  1. Auburn University shall distribute the course(s) listed on our web site in the form of a DVD, Video Tape, CD-ROM or World Wide Web page password and necessary supporting materials to the Organization identified on the order form under a contract agreement. Contracts shall be valid for a period of one year from the date of purchase and licenses are for a single site unless prior permission has been granted by Auburn University's Engineering Outreach and Continuing Education.
  2. A contract may be renewed annually for a fee of one-half of the organizational fee. Contracts for courses containing material that has become obsolete shall not be renewable. Auburn University shall be the sole determinant of whether material is obsolete.
  3. The Organization shall have the right to retain Course Booklet and DVD, Tape, CD-ROM or password for use solely by the Organization for educational purposes for its own employees or members. Programs may not be edited or altered.
  4. Programs may not be broadcast, copied, transmitted by cable or internet, or transmitted on an open or closed system other than a system wholly owned, licensed or operated by the Organization.
  5. The Organization shall not duplicate, sell, rent, or charge a fee for viewing this DVD, Video Tape, CD-ROM or Web page without prior permission from Auburn University's Business and Engineering Continuing Education. The Organization shall not derogate from any rights granted herein.
  6. For a period of up to 1 year from date of purchase, Auburn University shall grant continuing education units (CEUs) to individuals of the Organization if the course has been taken under the prescribed conditions (see 7 below). CEU's are awarded at the rate of one tenth of a CEU for one hour of instruction. (e.g. viewing a three-hour course with examination earns 0.3 CEU).
  7. To receive CEU credit each individual shall complete all specified instructional requirements, e.g., viewing, interacting, assignments, tests, etc. Auburn University will charge a fee of $30 for grading each exam, producing CEU Certificate of Completion, and maintaining records per individual for a period of seven years. Payment for the CEU processing fees or a company purchase order should accompany the verification form. CEU certificates will be issued only for accounts that are paid in full.
