Abstract

Statistical Process Monotoring and Change Point Estimation
There are currently no tools for conducting a search for process changes or identifying special cause for change. Pignatiello will demonstrate that a method to determine when the process change occurs would be helpful to identify the special cause. He will also propose the use of change point models and likelihood methods to assist in identifying the cause, as well as how change point methods provide effective estimates of the change point and lead to new methods for detecting process changes.
