Building a Foundation for the Future

Shelby Center todayThe Samuel Ginn College of Engineering at Auburn University has embraced an extraordinary vision to become one of the top 20 engineering programs in the nation. The cornerstone of the college's strategic plan to achieve this vision is the construction of the state-of-the-art Sen. Richard C. and Dr. Annette N. Shelby Center for Engineering Technology - a complex designed to advance technology development in a variety of disciplines.

The engineering complex is part of a capital improvement plan that includes the recent renovations of Ross Hall and Wilmore Laboratories and is designed to ensure that the college has the infrastructure required to become a preeminent engineering school. The creation of exceptional facilities will provide faculty and students with the most advanced environment in which to teach and conduct research. This complex is critical to the ability to recruit world-class faculty, attract the brightest students and conduct leading-edge research that will power the economy of the state and the region into the future.
