Areas of Need
At the top of our list of priorities for 2007 is support the cornerstone of our
strategic plan -- the completion of the Richard C. and Dr. Annette N. Shelby Center
for Engineering Technology. The Samuel Ginn College of Engineering must raise
$15 million before the end of the year to complete Phase II of this project.
The creation of these state-of-the art facilities will provide faculty and students
the most advanced environment in which to teach and conduct research. This complex
is critical to our ability to recruit world-class faculty, attract the brightest
students and conduct leading-edge research.
To date we have raised $3.2 million of th necessary $15 million in private support.
The participation of our alumni and friends is essential to achieving this goal.
Additional targets for support include funding for faculty in the form of professorships,
students in the form of scholarships and fellowships, and donations to the Auburn
Fund for annual support of a wide variety of programs and initiatives.
- Overall fundraising goal: $190 Million
